I started this blanket when my friend, Monique, told me she was going to have a baby. This is Sammy's blanket. The squares are individually made and then sewn together. I used block patterns from Debbie Abrahams' book, 100 Afghan Squares to Knit.
Yes, I made the border after the blocks were sewn together. I picked up the required number of stitches along one side (the blanket is rectangular with length requiring more stitches than the width), and I think I made a seed stitch type of border. Then I went to the next side... After all 4 sides were done, I sewed the border edges together.
Nice! Did you add the border after? If so, how?
