The moire (accent on "e") pattern is formed when 2 waves interfere with one another. (See smaller picture.) This skirt was knit with ribbon, and the pattern came from Knitting Nature by Nora Gaughan. I like her designs because they mimic patterns found in nature (like spirals and hexagons). This skirt drapes well and flatters Patricia's curves.
